Nestled in the heart of Lincoln, just outside Christchurch, Educare Lincoln Village is a place where commuting and local whānau can feel at ease. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the comfort of a homely environment, often filled with delicious aromas from our kitchen.
Our kaiako, many of whom have been part of our community for years, provide a sense of calm and familiarity, deeply understanding the unique needs of the tamariki (children) in their care.
Our outdoor areas are filled with possibilities, giving tamariki the freedom to move, climb, dig, and play, no matter the weather. Each age-group space includes beautiful gardens, an apple tree, a worm farm, a climbing area, a fort, and an underground fountain for fun water play.
We foster tuakana teina (relationships) at Educare Lincoln Village, where older tamariki have the chance to practice leadership, while younger children are encouraged to learn by watching and joining in. Our tamariki love observing the exciting development of the new Lincoln Town Centre nearby, which sparks wonderful conversations and curiosity about the world around them.
At Educare Lincoln Village, we believe learning is most meaningful when it is connected to our community and its stories. Tamariki explore pūrākau from Te Taumutu Rūnanga, discovering local landmarks and narratives that help them build a sense of belonging.
We cherish the involvement of whānau as their child’s first teachers, and ensure our childcare centre’s familiar routines and age-based rooms support tamariki as they grow, gently preparing them for their next steps towards school.
