Our Educare Norfolk Street early childhood centre is in the heart of Whangārei’s CBD, surrounded by the lively sounds of everyday life. With schools, parks, and the Town Basin nearby, our tamariki (children) have the wonderful opportunity to explore, learn, and engage with their community.
We believe these experiences enrich their understanding of the world around them.
At Educare Norfolk Street, we’ve created a welcoming environment with two connected buildings and a large outdoor play area, allowing tamariki to move freely in their surroundings. This encourages their natural curiosity and helps build their confidence.
Our undercover spaces for sand and water play ensure children can enjoy these activities throughout the year, whatever the weather. Inside, on one side, our villa for our older tamariki feels like home, with cosy areas for play, meals and quiet time, giving tamariki space to follow the rhythm of the day. And for our infants, a purpose built indoor environment gives our smallest tamariki space to move and explore at their own pace.
Our dedicated team of kaiako (teachers) genuinely cares for each tamariki and their whānau (families). We strive to build meaningful relationships at our centre, greeting you by name and engaging in conversations that matter. Regular updates and open communication are essential to us, as we want you to feel connected and informed about your child’s journey.
As tamariki grow, we support their transition to school, ensuring regular visits help them feel comfortable and confident about taking this important step.
