Big skies, busy days

At Educare Tamahere, we understand how important it is for families to find a nurturing environment for their children. Our centre offers the best of both worlds: the modern amenities of an early childhood centre coupled with a serene, semi-rural backdrop.

When you arrive, you’re greeted by the charm of paddocks with sheep and other friendly animals. Located just off the expressway for easy access to Hamilton, our children’s centre buzzes with a joyful spirit, with dedicated educators who have become a trusted part of our families’ lives, and plenty for tamariki (children) to look forward to each day.

Bush walks before lunch

We know how vital it is for children to connect with nature. That’s why our tamariki enjoy weekly bush walks, spend time tending our vegetable gardens, and, for those over two, enjoy meals in the fresh air through lovely alfresco dining.

Our childcare centre’s outdoor spaces are filled with established trees, including a beautiful cherry blossom tree in the nursery, as well as spacious bike tracks where children can freely explore.

All their favourite activities

Learning at Educare Tamahere is designed to be engaging, practical, and varied. Our preschoolers thrive in the sports zone, where they play ripper rugby, soccer, cricket, basketball, and group games, to help them build confidence and learn the true meaning of teamwork.

Our older tamariki visit the local school library each week as part of their transition-to-school journey, while our caring kaiako (teachers) provide continuous support for their social and emotional development through everyday play. Healthy eating is part of the daily rhythm at our children’s centre, with nutritious meals prepared by a chef who truly cares.
