At Educare Taupiri, we understand the importance of creating a nurturing space where tamariki (children) feel truly connected to nature and the outdoors.

Our early childhood centre in Taupiri is designed with local families and those involved in farming in mind, providing an environment where relationships are cherished. Our outdoor environment at Educare Taupiri is a special place, offering expansive natural areas, lush grass, and native plants, along with our commitment to growing food.

Here, tamariki can joyfully move through sand and water play, explore the hills, and roam the wide-open spaces, often sharing their adventures with friendly ducks and pūkeko. Our weekly farm visits and regular excursions create meaningful opportunities for children to connect with the wider community, enriching their early childhood experience.

Where learning grows

We strive to create a calm space at our Taupiri early childhood centre, allowing tamariki to explore at their own pace. Our compassionate kaiako (teachers) are there to guide their learning, providing regular transition-to-school visits to support each child as they take their next steps.

Relationships are the foundation of our approach, and our kaiako work hard to build warm, respectful connections with both tamariki and whānau right from the start. With a small, consistent team, we ensure every child feels seen, heard, and safe. Our open-door policy means whānau are always welcomed and connected, every step of the way.
