A calm, connected start

At Educare Tōtara Park, we strive to create a nurturing and inviting space where tamariki (children) feel truly settled and supported. Our early childhood centre, located in the heart of Totara Parklands, Whangārei, is here for local whānau (families) and those passing through on their way to work.

Children are naturally drawn to our mini orchard and the expansive grassy areas, which are lovingly adorned with reclaimed tōtara wood from the whenua (land). Our childcare centre is designed to inspire joy, curiosity, and discovery in each child’s journey.

Strong sense of belonging

At Educare Tōtara Park, strong relationships help create a true home away from home. From the very first day, tamariki are supported to find their rhythm in play, routine and regular adventures, while whānau are kept connected through open, ongoing communication. We also offer delicious homemade meals made on site, for our littlest ones, aged 0 to 3.

Learning starts with trust

Children flourish when they feel safe, valued and cherished. That’s why our early childhood centre has dedicated spaces for under and over twos, giving tamariki room to play, explore and build confidence at their own pace, with caring kaiako (teachers) close by to support their learning. Our kaiako also take the time to understand each child and what matters most to their family.
