At Educare Wigram, we are situated in a lively residential area of Christchurch, offering tamariki (children) expansive outdoor experiences and space to move.
Our early childhood centre is filled with natural light and spacious areas, creating a welcoming atmosphere where children can let loose and enjoy themselves. We cherish the opportunity to support tamariki who thrive outdoors and engage with the world around them.
We’ve created generous outdoor spaces tailored for under-twos and preschoolers to freely run, climb, and explore. The nursery playground offers soft grass and age-appropriate climbing equipment. For preschoolers, a separate playground shaded by beautiful blossom trees includes dedicated areas for physical play, digging, sand play and bug hunting.
We offer moments of learning about sustainability through our veggie garden, butterfly house, and interactions with nearby farm animals, fostering a sense of connection with nature.
Our two-room layout is designed to simplify daily routines and ease transitions, so tamariki have more time to engage in the activities they love. Our dedicated kaiako (teachers) are here to support each child, bringing a range of strengths and working together to create an environment where every child feels safe and encouraged to find new challenges.
Our specially designed space for four-year-olds provides a nurturing classroom atmosphere filled with resources and group projects that pave the way for their exciting school journey.
Choosing an early learning centre is a big decision, we’re honoured you’re considering Educare. We know how important it is to find a place where your child feels safe, supported, and truly at home.
Come and explore our spaces, meet our caring team, and see first-hand what makes Educare special.
